WHAT I’M READING/WATCHING
I’m trying to wrap up The Devil Takes You Home, Gabino Iglesias. This book is FREAKY. It’s cartel crime mixed with horror, and I never know where the next page turn is going to take me. The vibes are insane. The tension like a crystalline blade slowly slicing your throat. I keep waiting for the big wave of blood to spill out against me, warm and terrifying, carrying me away into some dark hole occupied by criaturas that don’t belong here… You should check this out. I’m almost ¾ of the way through, and I already want to read more from this author.
I don’t have a review this time, but IDW did send me a review copy of TMNT Vol 1, and I’m BEYOND stoked to catch up with this stellar series no one has said a bad thing about! I think I’ll do a special Turtle post… might even include a little interview from Kevin Eastman I never aired—GASP!
I’m also into the second season of SOLO LEVELING, and I finally got my grubby hands on some of the Gundam Thunderbolt manga! The first volume starts with a space mech sniper, and the Yasuo Ohtagaki art is EPIC.
